Restructuring its European cargo team
Chapman Freeborn has completed the strategic restructuring of its European cargo operations team, to manage long-term strength in traditional markets and growth in new industry verticals.
James Gilliard (right) has been appointed as vice-president of cargo sales, and Markus Schmidt (left) as vice-president of cargo commercial operations. Both report to Reto Hunziker, who remains president for Europe.
Gilliard will lead client acquisition and expansion into new markets, whilst Schmidt will head brokerage operations, converting customer requests into business opportunities.
In other news, Chapman Freeborn has appointed a general sales agent in Eastern Europe, a new position which cements its coverage in the European Union and diversifies sales. (cj)
