Restoring Caribbean cargo capacities


After the re-opening of the borders of Trinidad and Tobago, where Caribbean Airlines is headquartered, on 17 July, Caribbean Airlines Cargo has resumed scheduled connectivity between Barbados, St. Vincent, Grenada, New York and Toronto. The carrier transports cargo in the belly hold of its B737 and ATR aircraft on select PAX routes.

 

Flights to Jamaica operate began last Friday, 13 August, and St. Lucia operations are resuming today, 16 August, with other destinations to follow. Marklan Moseley, general manager - cargo and new business: "We are happy to restore connectivity to several of our pre-pandemic routes."

 

The airline continues to operate its all-cargo schedule of 14 weekly B767 flights which facilitates shipments between its Miami hub and Trinidad, Kingston, Montego Bay, Guyana and Barbados. (ah)
