Repeat win of an ESG award
At the ‘Aviation Achievement Awards 2025’ in Dubai (UAE) Avianca Cargo recorded victory in the ‘ESG & Sustainability Award’ for the second year in a row.
The airline was recognised for its commitment to reducing its impact on the environment, operating Latin America’s most eco-efficient freighter fleet and implementing fuel-saving measures that cut 2,480 t of CO₂ emissions in 2024.
Its sustainability efforts include biodegradable pallet covers, zero GWP refrigerants and an LEED-certified MRO facility. Socially, Avianca Cargo transported over 125 t of humanitarian aid last year and supports initiatives in healthcare, education and environmental conservation.
Avianca Cargo operates 220 freighter flights and 1,400 belly cargo flights weekly and continues to prioritise sustainable logistics and responsible growth. (ah)
