Rennes: improved access to North Sea ports

The transport company La Haye is introducing a new train service between Rennes and the port of Lille in France. It is scheduled to start next Monday, 13 March with initially three round trips per week. The traction provider is Captrain France.

The new train will give transporters better access to various European North Sea ports, including Dunkirk in France, Zeebrugge and Antwerp in Belgium and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Among other things, La Haye is a specialist in road transport and logistics and operates the terminal in Rennes. This is equipped with five railway tracks, a storage capacity for 240 containers and two forklifts that can lift weights of up to 7 t. (ben)
