Renewed air transport solution for Alaska
Ascent Global Logistics, based in Belleville, MI, has acquired Alaska-headquartered Hageland Aviation Services, which operated as the Ravn Connect component of the former Ravn Alaska, and launched Rambler Air. From early 2021, the new airline will serve commuter flights as well as passenger and cargo charters, operating eight Piper Chieftain Navajos and two Beechcraft 1900Ds.
Tom Stenglein, Ascent president and CEO: "We enter Alaska with more than four decades of running USA Jet, a 121 and 135 certified airline, in the lower 48 states. Rambler Air will provide a much-needed service to Alaskan communities and businesses."
Rambler Air is an expansion of Ascent's Arctic On-Demand service launched earlier this year, an Alaska-focused air charter brokerage for both cargo and passengers. (ah)
