Regulatory expert joins Artba legal team
The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (Artba) has hired Prianka Sharma as vice president and counsel for regulatory affairs. She joins Artba from the small business administration’s (SBA) office of advocacy, where she was assistant chief counsel for agriculture, energy, and natural resources policy.
Sharma will play a lead role in representing the association’s regulatory and legal positions to federal agencies and the courts on issues affecting Artba members and the transportation construction industry. These include environmental policy, contracting requirements, permitting reform, and implementation of the infrastructure investment and jobs act.
At SBA’s office of advocacy, Sharma represented small business interests nationwide with federal agencies and stakeholders to negotiate and enact sound regulatory policy suitable for small businesses. (cj)
