Refreshing the e-truck fleet
The drinks manufacturer Danone has added new e-trucks to its fleet, as it is working with TST to reduce its transport logistics emissions. With a range of 400 km, TST’s newest generation’s Scania 45 R is being deployed around Danone’s local hubs in Germany and can transport 250 to 270 t of drinks per week, including Volvic and Evian products.
This will enable the company to maintain operations around Karlsruhe, Frankfurt, Bingen-Koblenz and Rhein-Neckar while also reducing annual carbon emissions by 90 t per truck.
Danone and TST have been cooperating in this region for over 14 years, with TST providing solutions for warehousing, packaging and distribution operations. The logistics company is also investing in an EV charging network in the country. (mk)
