Re-certified and ready to go
Lufthansa Cargo’s pharma hub in Munich and the pharma centre in Chicago were re-certified with the Iata Ceiv Pharma seal in April 2024. The pharmaceutical label “Centre of Excellence of Independent Validators” (Ceiv) confirms that Lufthansa Cargo handles temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments at both locations in accordance with the highest international quality standards.
The Lufthansa cargo pharma centres in Munich and Chicago, which opened in summer 2020, were Ceiv Pharma-certified for the first time in 2021. Lufthansa Cargo can look back on decades of experience in the transport of pharmaceutical products and has more than 30 Ceiv Pharma certifications in its network as well as a Ceiv Pharma certification as an airline, making it one of the largest pharmaceutical networks worldwide.
