RCG strengthens its European network
The Austrian carrier is launching three rail connections this month. With one roundtrip per week, the Rail Cargo Group will start a new intermodal service between Budapest (Hungary) and Zeebrugge (Belgium) for all craneable loading units.
The second new train, operated by ÖBB's freight subsidiary, links Austria and northern Germany. It provides four weekly roundtrips between Wels (Austria) and the German Port of Lübeck, an important railfreight hub, particularly for the Scandinavian and Baltic markets. The connecting link from Lübeck to Kiel is operated three times a week and is open for all kinds of goods.
As the third new service, RCG will run three weekly roundtrips between Wels and Vienna and Budapest for non-craneable semi-trailers. (ben)
