RCG is Vienna's top training company
The Austrian ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has won this year’s prize as Vienna’s best company for apprenticeships for the third time after 2014 and 2018.
Birgit Schmöller (head of human resources), Franz Heissenberger (apprentice training manager) and two RCG apprentices accepted the award on behalf of the company.
The Top Training Company award is bestowed by the city of Vienna and honours companies for the exemplary quality of their apprentice training. The quality seal is awarded by a jury consisting of representatives of the employees’ organisation AK, the Austrian confederation of trade unions (ÖBG), the industrial association of Vienna (IV Wien), and Vienna’s Chamber of Commerce (WKW). The RCG is entitled to use the award for the next four years.
ÖBB Rail Cargo Group offers up to 35 freight forwarding apprenticeships nationwide per year. As the specialists for eco-friendly logistics of the future, the apprentices gain a hands-on knowledge of all facets of transport and rail logistics. (cj) www.railcargo.com
