Railway association gains new member
Netzwerk Europäischer Eisenbahnen (NEE) has already gained three new members this year, one of whom is Rhein Cargo, a major railfreight transport provider.
The network has 55 members including private railway companies in Europe and some entities connected to the NEE environment. The association’s main aim is to ensure fair competition for railways.
Rhein Cargo’s CEO Wolfgang Birlin, said: "The NEE network primarily safeguards the interests of freight railways. The trade body focusses on the industry’s special needs. My company is convinced that its specific interests are well represented." (ben)
