Railfreight association: a tandem takes the helm
Effective 1 July 2023, Neele Wesseln assumes the role of managing director of the German Association of Railfreight Companies.
Wesseln previously held the position of deputy managing director and will now share her new responsibilities with Peter Westenberger, representing the association vis-à-vis politicians, administrative bodies, and the DB's infrastructure companies. The dual leadership's task will be to drive forward the development of the association, which now has 103 members.
After a study of logistics, Neele Wesseln began her work as a specialist line manager at the association in 2019. Before that, she worked for GIZ in South Africa and at the department of rail transport, public urban and regional transport at TU Dresden. (cj)
