Rail service Koper - Austria has new operator
The regular rail service between the Slovenian port of Koper and the Austrian terminals of Enns and Salzburg is now operated by Salzburger Eisenbahn Transport Logistik (SETG). The container train has been running continuously since May 2019.
With the take-over of the service, the container train operates unchanged twice/week on the import and export route and continues to offer an advantageous intermodal link from Koper container terminal to upper Austria, according to the port authority.
SETG provides tailor-made block train solutions for wood, chemicals, vehicles, paper/pulp, steel, combined freight transport and agricultural products. The railfreight operator has a fleet of over 400 company-owned or chartered wagons of various types. (ben)
