Rail delivers Russian rapeseed oil to China
Delo Group has launched a rail service for the shipment of agricultural products from Krasnoyarsk in Sibiria, Russia, to Xi’an in Shaanxi Province, China. The train runs along a new land route, crossing the Zabaikalsk (Russia) -Manchuria (China) border.
The first train was loaded with 94 twenty-foot containers of oil. The new route will reduce transit times and complement the group’s existing services through the seaports of the Far East, Delo said. The group plans to organise further deliveries of agricultural products on this connection on a regular basis. All transport operations are handled by Delo’s affiliate Ruscon. (ben)
