Quieter and cleaner pharma deliveries
Germany-based logistics service provider trans-o-flex Thermo Med, which specialises in the nationwide distribution of pharmaceutical products with active temperature control at 2° to 8° Celsius, has ordered 174 delivery vehicles with a new type of electric cooling system.
74 VW and 100 Mercedes vehicles will be equipped with an innovative temperature control system. The new technology is more expensive than conventional refrigeration units, but quieter and cleaner in operation and lower in overall costs because it saves fuel. The first of the 174 new vehicles now on order are to be delivered in the middle of 2022. (ben)
