Quickpac comes to Basel
Quickpac, the new division of Quickmail, will distribute parcels in the entire urban area of Basel (Switzerland) as from 2 September 2019, which means that it will extend its customer base to 20% of all Swiss households. The company will thus be serving more than a quarter of all households in the German-speaking part of the country. In Basel, Quickpac will deploy six electric delivery vehicles per day and be ready to distribute parcels to almost 100,000 addresses.
"As from September we will distribute parcels in Zurich and Basel, the two largest cities in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. At the same time, we will continue to operate in the rural areas around our two warehouses in Winterthur und Hägendorf (canton Solothurn). We are pleased that Quickpac has been able to gradually increase the number of recipients that benefit from its quiet, eco-friendly and fast delivery services," Quickpac CEO Christof Lenhard said.
For the current year, the company is preparing to expand its services to further parts of the canton of Zurich and Schaffhausen. Quickpac also plans to open new warehouses in the regions of Bern and Lucerne in 2020. (mw)
