Quantron to supply FCEVs for UK trial
The manufacturer is providing 14 vehicles in various weight classes and categories for the first large-scale deployment of fuel cell electric commercial vehicles (FCEVs) in the UK’s Tees Valley region.
The EUR 8.2 million project involves at least 20 fuel cell trucks and the development of a strategically located hydrogen refuelling station. The fleet will include twelve Quantron QLI FCEV vans in the 4-7 t class and two Quantron QHM FCEV heavy-duty vans in the 19 t class.
Quantron will be the first supplier of hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles and trucks with right-hand drive (RHD), with the first customer delivery expected in Q1/2025. (ben)
