Quality journalism for ITJ readers

Exactly one month ago, on 11 December 2023, the Seahorse Freight Association hosted 160 guests in London for its annual Journalist Awards, supported by headline sponsor AAL Shipping.

There were 350 entries by 60 journalists in 13 categories, including multimedia, overland, maritime, multipurpose, supply chain, news, feature, rising star, and journalist of the year. An additional award was given to honour the memory of John Shingleton, editor and owner of the Handy Shipping Guide.

Contributions submitted by ITJ editor Andreas Haug who competed in four categories, were ranked as "highly commended" in the air cargo section, sponsored by Tiaca, and he was "runner-up" in the technology category, sponsored by Raft.

Emma Murray, Seahorse chair, and founder & CEO of Meantime Communications: "It is important to not overlook the significance of exceptional journalism. These journalists are the glue that holds the freight industry together."
