QR Cargo welcomed to Poland
On 1 October, Qatar Airways Cargo commenced freighter operations to Warsaw (Poland). QR Cargo operates one flight a week to the Polish capital, offering 100 t of cargo capacity each way on its dedicated freighter.
Warsaw is the only station the airline serves in Poland, providing ten weekly passenger flights.
The addition of a dedicated freighter service from Warsaw will increase QR’s total weekly cargo capacity there to more than 200 t. Businesses in Poland will now benefit from direct main-deck freighter capacity for their imports and exports, with the majority thereof expected to consist of general cargo and perishables.
Qatar Airways Cargo has a large footprint in Eastern Europe, serving seven destinations in the region with both passenger and freighter options. In addition to Warsaw, QR Cargo provides structural cargo capacity to and from Budapest, Prague, Bucharest, Zagreb, Belgrade and Sofia.(cj)
