PVG prepares for returning volumes
Shanghai Airport Authority, which is still hoping to welcome exhibitors and visitors of Transport Logistic China and Air Cargo China, scheduled 15-17 June (while Air Cargo India, initially planned to take place from 22 to 24 February in Mumbai, seems to have been postponed to May), reports that the ground breaking ceremony was held for a raft of 82 major projects in the Pudong New Area exactly ten days ago, on 4 January.
Total investments are valued at USD 49.8 billion – at the site earmarked for the latest extension of Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG).
It aims to accelerate the interconnection of the Yangtze River Delta region, serve consumer demand for high-quality travel and satisfy the development needs of Shanghai-based airlines. The fourth phase comprises six parts, including a new eastern cargo area. (ah)
