Pushing railfreight for Eurasian routes
In response to current challenges in the seafreight market, Cargo-Partner has introduced new rail services between Europe and Asia.
In February, for example, the logistics company handled a transport from Thailand to Slovakia via China and Poland for a European electronics manufacturer using a combination of road and rail. The transit time from door to door was only 32 days.
Another service involves the route from Taiwan to Hungary with a combination of ship and rail. The goods are first shipped by sea from Taiwan to Shanghai (China) and from there by rail to Budapest, Hungary. Some European companies are already using this new option for transporting part loads, Cargo-Partner said. (ben)
