PTV launches route planner for e-trucks
The online tool calculates suitable routes for any electric truck or van, regardless of brand. Companies planning shipments can select the desired electric truck or van on the electronic platform and enter the start and destination points of the route, the payload weight and battery status.
With one click, the tool then calculates suitable routes for trucks, taking into account the current weather conditions and traffic situation. The result is an overview map showing the calculated route and the remaining battery level at the end of the journey.
Fleet managers can use this brand-independent route planner to determine which electric vehicle is best suited for their operation, Germany-based PTV Logistics says. (ben)
