PS Logistics acquires flatbed division
Blair Logistics, a subsidiary of USA-based PS Logistics, has acquired the flatbed division of ELS, one of the country’s largest 53-foot flatbed carriers.
Now operating 500 power units and 1,250 over-length trailers, ELS was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Kenly, North Carolina. It focuses mainly on the haulage of steel, industrial materials, and lumber. After the acquisition, the company will retain its heavy haul and intermodal operating divisions while Blair will lead the flatbed business.
Since 2016, PS Logistics has been pursuing a strategy to acquire and partner with family-owned companies in the logistics industry. The partnership with ELS is another link in the chain. (mk)
