Promotions at Nasmyth
Nasmyth has appointed Jason Whittle (left) as its new supply chain director and Michael Day (right) as its new head of IT.
Whittle started his career as an engineering apprentice at Nasmyth with the Henton engineering team before moving into production control and purchasing. A career move to Sigma Components saw him implementing a purchasing system as the company rapidly expanded its facilities to support Rolls Royce engine pipes.
Whittle has also held various supply chain roles in EMEA within Meggitt supporting global distribution and MRO hubs.
Day first started working with computers in the oil exploration industry. He also gained over 1,500 flying hours in a Lockheed P3 Orion as an electronic warfare operator for the US Navy. Recently, Day has been working at Northrup Grumman assisting with the cutlass programme, building bomb disposal robots for the MOD. (cj)
