Prologis buys logistics real estate in Neu-Ulm

Prologis has bought a logistics facility in Neu-Ulm (Bavaria, Germany). The 16,000 sqm building is leased to an internationally active logistics services provider. “Our aim is to continue to expand our presence in Swabia’s logistics market,” says Stefan Siegle, director, market officer Germany at Prologis. “This acquisition is a major step towards this goal, since the real estate is situated in an established logistics location ideally positioned between Stuttgart and Munich.”

The 30,000 sqm area is close to a motorway, and the container railway station to the north of Ulm is quickly accessible. Neu-Ulm also has excellent traffic links to Austria, Switzerland and Italy. In keeping with its sustainable development strategy, Prologis is also determined to ensure that its buildings are efficient and that they can be made available for alternative uses.

The newly purchased logistics facility meets these requirements. Among other features, it has 640 sqm of office space and 38 dock levellers and is equipped with a LED lighting system. Moreover, it can be operated 24/7. (mw)
