Production plant for lithium-ion batteries
Panattoni Europe is developing a production plant near Ludwigsfelde in Brandenburg (Germany) for Microvast, a supplier of energy storage systems. On plot of 36,000 sqm, the company will build storage spaces covering 5,300 sqm, 3,300 sqm of offices and recreational areas and a production site of about 10,500 sqm. Furthermore, there are plans for 106 car parking spaces.
“One particularly exciting challenge will be the planning and setting up of the production area for lithium-ion batteries as part of the facility for Microvast,” says Fred-Markus Bohne, managing partner of Panattoni Europe. “We would like to express our special thanks to the city of Ludwigsfelde and IPG Potsdam for their trust and their great support for the project.”
Panattoni Europe plans to start building in April 2020, and the facility is expected to be completed by December 2020. Manfred Jenschke acted as a consultant for Microvast with regard to choosing and planning the new location. (mw)
