Pro warehouses for pro customers

Home Depot is opening four new distribution centres to expand its network in North America. The sites will be designed to stock lumber, insulation, shingles and other bulky products.

Ranging from southern Los Angeles, San Antonio and Detroit all the way to Toronto, the hubs will be part of the company’s pro system. Customers will be able to order job-lot quantities of the products they need to complete projects, delivered directly to their job sites. This facilitates customers’ processes while also reducing congestion in Home Depot centres.

Aside from the new sites, which are expected to open in the course of H1/2024, Home Depot is also adding localised, market-specific product assortments, a dedicated sales force for priority markets and new order management capabilities to its portfolio. (mk)
