Pre-contract for new cargo centre at NUE
Airport managing director Michael Hupe has just inked the preliminary contract for a third cargo centre at Nuremberg Airport (NUE) with Soheyl Rahmani, managing director of CHI NUE Cargo Handling, as the future anchor tenant.
The cargo area may be expanded by demolishing the old catering business of Lufthansa’s former subsidiary LSG Sky Chefs, which is no longer using this site.
The new CCN3 extends the airport’s capacities by 3,600 sqm of warehouse space and around 1,900 sqm of office space. By comparison, current total warehouse space (CCN1 and CCN2) is 14,400 sqm and total office space is 6,550 sqm. CCN3 is scheduled for completion by the end of 2023. Hupe: "We have found a strong partner with whom we want to tackle the project."
