Through its air cargo subsidiaries, the Latam group concluded a historic Valentine's season by exporting close to 25,000 t in just 21 days from Colombia and Ecuador. With a significant increase in the frequency of services from these countries, this marked a 36% leap compared to the same season in 2023.
All in all, the carrier shipped 575 million flower stems, equivalent to one flower for every inhabitant of the USA, Colombia, Ecuador, and France combined.
During the Valentine’s season, spanning from 18 January to 7 February, the company's cargo subsidiaries conducted approximately 418 take-offs from Quito, Bogotá, and Medellín, doubling the regular frequencies from Colombia and Ecuador to deliver this local product to the USA and Europe. (cj)
