Positive trend in international traffic
Swiss railfreight operator SBB Cargo posted a loss of CHF 8 million in H1/2021,with the result being supported by CHF 15 million in state subsidies. The loss is smaller than in H1/2020 (-CHF 27.7 million), but larger than in 2019 (+0.3 million).
SBB Cargo International, a specialist in block train and CT transports on the north-south axis between Germany and Italy, showed a positive performance: with a minus of CHF 0.2 million, the company ended H1/2021 with CHF 4.0 million above the result of H1/2020.
SBB Cargo International was founded in 2010. As of 2020, SBB Cargo holds 65% and Swiss Combi - a merger of Swiss transport companies Planzer, Camion, Galliker and Bertschi - 35%. (ben)
