Port of Malaga: certification for Noatum Terminals

Noatum Terminals’ facility in the port of Malaga (Spain) has been awarded the GMP + Feed Safety Assurance (FSA) certificate, which guarantees that all the products intended for animal fodder in all the links of the food chain are harmless.

The GMP+FSA certificate is an internationally recognised seal of approval. The certification scheme includes the requirements of the ISO 9001 quality management system, HACCP, product standards, traceability, process monitoring, prerequisite programmes, and an early warning system (EWS).

Noatum Terminals made the appropriate investments to equip the Noatum Terminal Malaga with the appropriate infrastructure for handling animal fodder. It includes 6,000 sqm of warehousing, a mobile crane, an ecological hopper, forklift trucks and various equipment for the specific handling of agrifood products.

More than one million t of bulk goods (mostly agrifood products), more than 73,000 teu and 54,000 vehicles passed through Noatum Terminal Malaga in 2017. (kd)
