Port internship and new umbrella brand for BÖB
Die Binnenhäfen, Germany’s federal association of public inland ports, has created an internship to show political decision-makers the diverse functions of an inland port.
The official kick-off took place on Logistics Day: Mathias Stein, member of the German federal parliament and coordinator of the parliamentary group on inland waterways, completed the first internship in Berlin.
Marcel Lohbeck, BÖB managing director: "The 'interns' experience first-hand what happens every day in the port and get to lend a hand themselves. The federal association of public inland ports will operate under the umbrella brand “Die Binnenhäfen” with a new logo in future. This underlines our position as the mouthpiece of Germany’s inland port industry." (cj)
