Port gears up with e-truck charging system
The Swedish Port of Gothenburg is continuing to develop its services for HGVs, with Göteborg Energi and the Gothenburg Port Authority joining forces to open additional charging facilities for heavy traffic. Four charging spots with up to 350 kW capacity are now operational at Port Entry.
A new charging station at Vädermotet in the Port of Gothenburg was also opened a year ago. It is operated by Circle K. Like the new charging station at port entry, the charging facilities are public, meaning that they can be used by anyone with electric vehicles.
Over a million trucks pick up or deliver goods in the Port of Gothenburg every year. The port also introduced e-trucks in its terminals in recent years. (ben)
