Plass follows van der Schalk
Around 70 of the almost 350 member companies attended the virtual AGM of the Hamburger Spediteure (VHSp) association this week.
At the meeting, the board elected Axel Plass (left) (Konrad Zippel Spediteur) as its new chairman. As a long-standing member of the board and also president of the DSLV Bundesverband Spedition und Logistik, Plass replaces Willem van der Schalk (left) (a. hartrodt Deutschland), who has led the VHSp since 2018.
Van der Schalk, who is also president of Clecat, the European association for forwarding, transport, logistics and customs services, will remain on the VHSp board as one of two deputy chairmen. Pay-Andres Lüders (Lüders & Stange) was elected as the second deputy chairman. (amh)
