Plant for hydrogen trucks opened in France
Nine months after its creation, HYVIA, the Renault Group and Plug Power’s joint-venture dedicated to hydrogen mobility, has inaugurated its plant in Flins Refactory, Renault Group’s strategic manufacturing site based in Ile-de-France. This is the first step in a wider industrial project, the company said.
HYVIA is ready to start assembling and testing fuel cell modules based on Plug Power’s advanced technology. The 30kW fuel cell will power Renault Master H2-TECH portfolio.
By the end of 2022, the plant will also begin assembling H2 refuelling stations and producing low carbon hydrogen with a first electrolyser. HYVIA’ s aim is to gain 30% of the LCV H2 European market share by 2030. (ben)
