Planning a clean energy rail terminal
Canada’s National Railways (CN) and the Canadian energy supplier Keyera will leverage their joint expertise to evaluate the creation of a specialised clean energy terminal in Alberta’s industrial heartland. The main point of discussion is the building of a first-class facility on adjoining lands belonging to Keyera and CN.
The benefits of this strategic location would include an opportunity for product aggregation through close proximity to large industrial operators and direct access to the CN rail network.
It is planned that, once completed, the facility would be capable of handling six inbound and outbound high-capacity trains daily, CN said. (ben)
