PIL’s new agents from today
Pacific International Lines (PIL) has appointed new general agencies in Malawi and Guatemala, effective 1 April.
The move strengthens the Singapore-headquartered shipping line’s regional presence in East Africa and Latin America, enhancing proximity to local customers. PIL Malawi will operate under PIL Limited, led by branch manager Nicholas Kamanga. In Guatemala, the agency will be managed by PIL Guatemala, Sociedad Anónima, with Alfredo Di Palma as general manager.
The first calls under the new Guatemala agency will be handled by the ‘Kota Emerald’ (ETA 5 April) and the ‘Kota Sydney’ (ETA 11 April) at Puerto Quetzal, under PIL’s WS2 and WS6 services respectively. Both teams aim to ensure service excellence is in line with PIL’s global standards.
