PIL banks on India
Singapore-based Pacific International Lines (PIL) is launching the China Vietnam India Service (CVI), a new direct connection linking Asian ports in China, Vietnam, Singapore and India's East Coast.
The new service will operate once a week. Its first vessel will sail from Ningbo on 22 April. PIL and its partners Regional Container Lines (RCL) and Interasia Lines (IAL) will deploy vessels with an average capacity of 2,200 teu. "This new service to India's east coast reflects our confidence in India’s growth potential," commented PIL's chief trade officer Tonnie Lim. (sh)
