Picking tool easing the thirst
In November 2020, international logistics provider cargo-partner was contacted by a European beverage company that wished to put the distribution of its rapidly growing number of online customer orders on a new footing - especially in the USA.
The customer chose cargo-partner's iLogistics Center in Chicago as its distribution hub due to its central location and facilities.
The hub's e-fulfilment solution includes a customised multi-order picking tool that enables fast processing of online orders in integration with the client's Shopify web store.
The client initially anticipated 500 or more orders per day, with volumes expected to double by the first quarter of 2021. (sh)
