Peter Gerber leaves Lufthansa for Condor
Peter Gerber, currently CEO of Brussels Airlines, will step down from his post and leave the Lufthansa Group. Christina Foerster, member of the Lufthansa Group executive board, will take over the airline's leadership on an interim basis.
Gerber has led the Belgian airline since 1 March 2021, in addition to holding the newly created position of Lufthansa group chief representative for European Affairs.
Condor’s supervisory board has already agreed: Gerber will take over as CEO of Condor, effective 1 February 2024. Working with COO and accountable manager Christian Schmitt and CFO Björn Walther, he will steer the airline from the beginning of 2024 and set the course for growth. Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor since 2004, will then hand over his office to his successor as planned. (cj)
