PCC Intermodal invests in wagon fleet
20 brand new 90 ft wagons, ordered with EU funding, have enlarged the fleet of Polish operator PCC Intermodal. The next part of the order will be delivered before the end of this year.
The wagons are produced by Tatravagonka Poprad in Slovakia and Kolovag (Bulgaria). All in all, there will be 150 platforms of different kinds to support the company’s intermodal services.
The first batch allowed to further develop the Poland-Belgium intermodal corridor, where the frequency of the connections was increased from three to five regular weekly trains. PCC Intermodal currently operates over 700 wagons and organises more than 5,000 intermodal trains per year. (ben)
