Patrizia's latest coup aims at Maasvlakte
Patrizia, a German investor in global real assets, is acquiring a 233,000 sqm distribution centre from Dutch logistics developer DHG. Valued at EUR 230 million, the facility is located in the container hub Smartlog Maasvlakte in Rotterdam.
The acquisition, which - according to Patrizia - represents the largest logistics investment on record in the Netherlands in terms of square metres", was made on behalf of the group’s Logistik-Invest Europa III Fund and Patrizia Pan European.
The Smartlog Maasvlakte distribution centre is a logistics complex under construction on a 300,000 sqm site at Distripark Maasvlakte West on Rotterdam’s latest land reclamation area. The new site's solar panel roof includes 46,000 solar panels spanning 210,000 sqm across ten buildings.
Alexander van Gastel, Patrizia’s director for transactions Netherlands: “The deal follows on from our first transaction with DHG in 2019 when we acquired a portfolio of distribution centres in three locations in and around Rotterdam.”
The logistics hub at the western tip of Rotterdam port is 80% pre-let and will comprises ten warehouse units ranging in size from ca.17,800 to 22,000 sqm plus mezzanine space (ca.1,500 to 2,000 sqm), outside storing terrain and ancillary offices.
