Passing of former NY/NJ top forwarder and broker
Stewart B. Hauser, former chairman of D. Hauser Inc., died on 28 September 2020 at the age of 78. With five decades of industry experience, he had devoted his entire education and career to the facilitation of international trade and transportation as a customs house broker, freight forwarder, consultant as well as holding leadership positions of the NY/NJ Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association (NY/NJ FFFBA), which he served as president from 1993 to 2006 and continued as a chairman of the board and a senior advisor.
In addition to his commitment to NY/NJ FFFBA, Hauser also served on various committees for the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association, where he was a board member, the treasurer and the association representative to the Customs Electronic Systems Action Committee. (amh)
