Partnering for heavy and sustainable solutions
At the Breakbulk Europe exhibition in Rotterdam earlier this month, Bolloré Logistics and Flying Whales signed a MOU on the transport of exceptionally heavy or oversized loads. The companies agreed to use the airship LCA60T for lifting and/or transporting abnormal loads of up to 60 t. Flying Whales has scheduled the aircraft’s maiden flight for 2025. As part of its "powering sustainable logistics" programme, Bolloré Logistics has committed to decarbonising Scopes 1, 2 & 3.
Philippe Lejeune, energy & projects director – Bolloré Logistics Europe: "Deliveries by LCA60T will enable us to provide our customers with an extensive choice of vehicles in order to decarbonise the transport of the goods they entrust us with."
Both companies are also exhibiting at Paris Air Show which ITJ is attending today, 20 June 2023. (ah)
