Paris, France: service resumption and end
Suspended since 31 March 2020, commercial flights are resuming at Paris-Orly, the second biggest airport of the French capital, today, 26 June.
In contrast, Air France is sending off its A380 for the last time today. France’s flag carrier actually wanted to retire its nine last super jumbos only by the end of 2022, but then announced in May that it intended to «cease all A380 operations » because of the corona crisis. To make sure that the aircraft does not simply vanish from French skies, Air France will send F-HPJH off from Paris CDG this afternoon for a two-hour farewell tour over France.
To find room for the constantly rising number of temporarily grounded or scrapped aircraft, Tarmac Aerosave has found another partner in Paris-Vatry to join the existing locations in Tarbes, Toulouse-Francazal and Teruel in Spain. (ah)
