Parcel-driven growth at Post NL
On the basis of its business development, the Netherlands-based Post NL foresees an improved full year performance in 2020. Since Q3/2020 was strong (concrete figures will be published by 2 November), just as the first midyear, Post NL now expects its full-year 2020 normalised ebit to be at least EUR 175 million. Export volumes have also grown.
Moreover, Post NL has entered into a sale-and-leaseback agreement with Urban Industrial relating to four mail sorting centres in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zwolle, ‘s-Hertogenbosch and the international sorting centre in The Hague. Post NL will receive proceeds of EUR 150 million from the transaction. The related book gain of around EUR 61 million will be labelled as a one-off result. (sh)
