Panattoni is building a new hub in Essen
Panattoni Europe is building a logistics park in Essen (Germany). On a plot of about 43,220 sqm, the company is setting up around 23,134 sqm of logistics areas, 1,215 sqm of offices as well as 1,575 sqm of mezzanine floors.
The logistics facility can be divided into three parts and thus be used by three different tenants. The park can be accessed via 20 loading ramps and three gates at ground level. In addition, there will be about 194 parking spaces for cars and twelve parking spaces for trucks. A special advantage of the new logistics park will be the good connections to the transport networks and the business community in Essen.
The real estate is situated close to the port of Essen and has a trimodal infrastructure with links to channel ports and container terminals as well as daily rail connections to Hamburg and Bremerhaven. Panattoni Europe is expected to begin the demolition work in January 2020, construction is planned to start in February 2020, and the park is expected to be completed by October 2020. (mw)
