Panattoni goes choc-a-block

Once a chocolate factory, now a modern logistics space: Panattoni is taking on a project in Cologne, transforming the premises of the old Gebrüder Stollwerk factory into its new Campus Köln Ost.

The development will combine a city dock structure of ten units with a three-unit Panattoni park. All in all, the site will comprise over 40,000 sqm of lettable area.

As the region is seeing high demand for last mile logistics hubs, Panattoni will seek to cater to diverse user requirements. The hub is located just 9 km from the Cologne-Bonn airport, the train station, and close to major motorways, offering a variety of options for multimodal traffic.

Both future tenants of the park and the city of Cologne will be able to benefit from the economic potential, Panattoni said. With its new park, the company is aiming for the DGNB gold standard for sustainability. The city dock is set for completion in 2026, with the park to follow in 2027. (mk)
