Panattoni builds hub at Leipzig-Halle airport
Panattoni Europe has secured the centrepiece – a plot of land covering about 114,510 sqm – of the Airport Park Leipzig-Halle (Germany). The project developer plans to build a logistics centre, the Panattoni Park Leipzig Airport, comprising a 51,000 sqm warehouse, about 2,000 sqm of office space and around 3,400 sqm mezzanine floors.
“The Leipzig-Halle airport is growing at an exceptionally fast rate. The immediate vicinity to the production plants of the automobile industry (BMW, Porsche, Audi etc.) makes the hub particularly attractive to business. Connections to motorway and federal highway networks and railfreight services are additional assets,” said Dieter Vornhagen, chairman of Airport Development. (mw)
