Panalpina's transatlantic service happy and Brexit-ready
Mexico-based Querétaro airport (QRO), which was added to the Panalpina charter network (see page 14 of ITJ 23-26/2018) last May, is performing very well.
Matthias Frey, global head of the charter network: "We closed 2018 with 37 regular flights into QRO, 71 into Mexico City and 104 into Guadalajara. We also operated 19 ad-hoc full charters into Querétaro and eleven into México City between May and December 2018."
Panalpina is also the first and only company to offer a transatlantic flight from QRO to London STN and to Luxembourg via Huntsville AL (USA).
The flight can carry any airworthy merchandise from the Americas directly into London and then take UK goods to Luxembourg, flying over the channel and avoiding coastal borders which will most likely become the major bottlenecks for UK-EU trade. (ah)
